Overview
Volunteers are vitally important to the ministry of Camp Good News. Not only to help the ministry run smoothly, but also to keep camper cost at a minimum. Without hundreds of volunteers serving each year, we would have to charge each camper much more than most could afford.
Here are a few of the many ways you or your church group can make an investment into the ministry of Camp Good News and the lives of young people. Whether you volunteer for a whole week, weekend or come as you are able, being part of this ministry seems to be life changing.
Positions Available
Prayer Partner--without the faithful prayer support of our prayer partners, our ministry would not survive. Commit yourself to pray during a specific week of camp. (volunteer discount not available for this position)
Cook--the cook assists the head cook with the preparation of the camping meals in our main kitchen and in the wilderness camp.
Bible teacher--use materials from Child Evangelism Fellowship to teach children about God, Bible characters and Biblical truths. Many children are hearing the good news for the very first time. It is one of the most exciting opportunities. Training from Child Evangelism Fellowship is recommended prior to volunteering for this position
Laundry--clean kitchen laundry and bedding helps make for a happy camper.
Child Care--provide care for staff and volunteer children ages three to six.
Craft barn--help create fun art projects that the children can take home.
Store--put a smile on a child’s face as you put a soda pop in their hands on a hot summer day!
Nurse--dispense medication, apply band-aids and help ensure the camp is a happy, safe environment (NH license required).
Maintenance--help us keep the place looking good and in working order. For those that like to do heavy or light maintenance, there is plenty for you to do here.
Teen Service--have a blast serving the Lord with a dozen other teens. Our teen service ministry is a three-week volunteer program. We teach the teen service team about the ministry of children while they serve and clean up in the dining hall. Contact Camp Good News to apply or download a Teen Service application from this site.

Maintenance Needs
Camp Good News consists of more than 40 buildings and 200 acres of land. This is larger than many state parks. Most labor involved with keeping this ministry going is volunteered by people like you. The work requires all skill levels and we do not forsee running out of improvements that can be made.
Please contact Marty Kotz, Facilities Director, martinkotz@yahoo.com or call Camp Good News (603-826-5583) with your interests, skills, and availability.
Our greatest needs are from April through October, but certain projects continue all year. Check the Projects tab for updates on specific needs. This is a great way to serve our Lord on the local mission field.
